THE DISCARDED, THE LOST, THE BROKEN

As I sit at my "office" and gaze
about the field area
I view all the discarded and broken items
old tires, used car batteries, broken bottles
scraps of wood, lost sunglasses

Yes, I am in the right place!
I, too, many times
feel discarded, lost and broken!
It's not easy to "measure up"
by anyone's standards these days
Just when you think you're doing
everything right
and you'll finally be accepted
ALL
the rules change!

But, that's OK
now
BECAUSE
I have
ENCOUNTERED
the
ACCEPTANCE
of
GOD!

One day
there will be
a church on this field
which will welcome
the
discarded, the lost and those
who have been broken
by the world
JESUS, HIMSELF
will walk in the midst
of the people
and
Touch them
with
His Love
Acceptance
and
Approval!

ALL
WILL FEEL WELCOME!

The INVITATION
will be:
FOR ALL WHO ARE THIRSTY
                                     HERE'S WATER TO DRINK!

FOR ALL WHO ARE HUNGRY
                                             HERE'S BREAD YOU CAN EAT!

  FOR ALL WHO ARE HURTING
                                                                         HERE'S A GOD WHO WILL MEET YOUR NEED!

FOR ALL WHO ARE SOILED
                                            HERE'S A CLEANSING FLOOD!

  FOR ALL WHO ARE LONELY
                                                                                           HERE'S A FRIEND WHO IS CLOSER THAN A BROTHER!

           FOR ALL WHO ARE WANDERING
                                                        HERE'S A PLACE OF SWEET REST!

          FOR ALL WHO ARE SEARCHING
                                                         HERE'S A HOME, HERE'S A HOME!

wonder
I already feel
at
HOME
here

I'm all
of the above
thirsty
hungry
hurting
soiled
lonely
wandering
and
searching

But
GOD IS HERE
and that changes
EVERYTHING!!!

Even
before
the church building is built
before
the music plays
before
the Fountain
bubbles forth the
LIVING WATER
I find my
HOME
here with Him
among
the
discarded, lost and broken
but
I feel
LOVED
ACCEPTED
AND
VALUED!!!

for planning a place
for people like me!
We look
all our lives and hope
for a place
where we can go
and
feel accepted and loved!
We will
always
be discarded
by the world and broken
from the happenings
of our lives
but now
there will be
a place to go
for
HEALING
for
RESTORATION
for
WHOLENESS
for
LIFE
YOUR LIFE!!!
