THE CALL CAME

BELIEVING
VESSEL"

Would I
answer the Call?

What exactly
would the cost of answering
the Call be?

Would everything be taken from me
or would I willingly
lay it all down
for the Call?

I had asked Jesus to be my Savior
when I was a child of nine
Years of attending church
and trying to abide
by all the rules
followed
I knew
GOD
was
watching
and
I was
not
anxious
to have His Wrath
poured out on me

I perceived Him
as
always angry
and
disapproving

As I grew older
I began to see the futility
of following the rules
for the rules' sake
I didn't seem
to receive
any
extra privileges
or
appear
any
closer to
GOD
than anyone else
by
adhering to
His Code of Ethics

WHAT DID GOD WANT FROM ME?

As a teenager
I realized that
Christianity
was meant to be
a relationship with
GOD
Not
a set of rules
to appease a
GOD
Who was far away
and angry
I began
to talk to
GOD
and sometimes
I could hear Him
whisper to me

"I LOVE YOU!"

It was still
basically
a one-way relationship
I cried out
to Him
made my requests
and
waited with open arms
for
His
prompt response

He
answered and provided....
but
there was still
something missing
Somehow
this also
didn't
bring fulfillment
to
my life
or
comfort
to
my soul's inner cry
for
companionship
and
deep communion

What was missing?

I followed the rules......I talked to Him......I read my Bible

WHAT DID GOD WANT FROM ME?

ENTER THE RENEWAL!
As I am prayed for and become
attuned to
HIS SPIRIT
GOD
speaks to me
I listen
I'm encouraged -- awakened -- enlightened!

Each night, afterwards
I lie waiting
to hear Him
speak to me again 
waiting.......
for the same feelings
of
Peace and Love
to
envelop me

Must I have
someone pray for me
or 
is this truly
from
GOD
and
He can do it
without
help?

I lie before Him and wait......night after night
After a week
GOD
asks me

"IF
I SPEAK TO YOU
WILL YOU
OBEY ME?"

BOLDLY
without any doubts
I answer
"Maybe...it depends on what You ask me to do"

SILENCE!!!

I wait.....
The next night I'm ready
THE QUESTION
is asked
again

"IF
I SPEAK TO YOU
WILL YOU
OBEY ME?"

I reply
"Yes, I will"
I didn't hear trumpets
or
see angels appear
to congratulate me
for
the decision
but
there was a bonding
a release
and
a surrender on my part
that fused
my spirit
with
GOD'S SPIRIT

THIS IS WHAT GOD WANTED!!!!!!!

He
wanted
a two-way relationship
where I would be
willing to listen
and
surrender my will
for
His Purposes!

I hope
it's
not
too late
to
respond
too late
to answer
His Call
for my life

I feel as though
so many years
have been wasted
but
to
GOD
age is relative
He looks
at the
heart's response
and provides
ALL
the
STRENGTH and ENERGY
equivalent to our faith
in
HIS PROVISION

Yes
I will
listen
and
I will obey!

I will
be
ONE
YIELDED
BELIEVING
VESSEL"

I will
submit to
HIS LORDSHIP!

I will
obey
when He speaks!

I will
sacrifice
my life
for
His Purposes!!!

wasted years

It's never
too late
is it?
Let my answer
to You
draw others
to want
to answer
Your Call
for their life!

Let them see
the
JOY
the
TOTAL FULFILLMENT
the
ADVENTURE
the
FREEDOM
the
REWARDS
You
bring
to those that give it
ALL
to You!

You're WORTH it
without
all the rewards
but
You can't help
pouring out
Your Abundance
to those that
LOVE You
with
a Passion!

Don't let me balk
at any of
Your Requests!

Let my Love for You
be so deep
that
I respond
with
COMPLETE JOY
to
each request!

I FEEL LIKE
I'VE
FINALLY
COME "HOME"!
